Built by two people, on two continents.
The world's busiest air corridors fly with empty baggage allowance, while the people who'd pay to ship along those routes have no calibrated way to find each other. We built the platform we wished existed.
Two things are true
at the same time.
Baggage allowance crosses borders unused.
Every day, on flights that are already in the air, paid-for space travels empty. Nobody is coordinating it because there has never been a safe way to.
Shipping is priced for freight, not for people.
Cross-border courier pricing assumes industrial volume. It was never built for the 3 kg envelope your sister wants by Friday.
Matching two strangers is arithmetic. Trust is the product.
So we built around the trust, not the matching: vouching, escrow, manifest signing, recipient codes, real disputes with real humans.
What we're building
This kind of travel already happens quietly between friends-of-friends. We're giving it scaffolding without losing what made it work.
Our expansion rule
If earnvoy opens a corridor neither of us lives on, we find someone who does first. Not a contractor — someone accountable, on the ground, before the corridor goes live.
Five principles, written down
before we wrote the code.
Not values on a wall. Constraints we hold the product to — and the reason certain obvious features don't exist.
People, not roles
Every product surface uses real first names. "Tunde reached out," not "Sender accepted." The person on the other side is a person.
Escrow is the model
Funds enter escrow at match-lock and leave when delivery confirms. We don't hold balances. We don't earn float.
Founders read disputes
Manually. No auto-decisions, no outsourcing. The slow part is the part that matters.
Reputation is earned
Vouching is reciprocal and scored. New members start small. Reputation accrues through completed trips, not LinkedIn connections.
Then we get out of the way
Once you're matched, plan the meet, write the note. We don't replace the conversation; we make it safe to have.

Three more on the way.

Both ends of the corridor. Not a bullet point.
Most diaspora platforms are built from one end of the corridor. That decision shows up in the product long before it shows up in the org chart.
Two ends, two people, no translation layer.
Built from one end
- ✕One Western office. The receiving country is a market on a slide.
- ✕Operations contracted to people the founders have never met.
- ✕Disputes resolved by whoever is awake, using rules written far away.
- ✕Payout problems become tickets nobody can escalate locally.
How earnvoy is built
- ✓A director on each end. Canada holds product and trust; Nigeria holds engineering, verification and payouts.
- ✓The receiving end isn't remote. It's where one of us lives and works.
- ✓Disputes are read by a founder, one of whom shares the parcel's timezone.
- ✓Bank and verification relationships are held locally, in person.
