Getting started
Senders join freely. Travellers join by invitation. Identity verification gates the first send either way.
How do I sign up as a sender?
No invitation needed. Create your account on the sign up page and pick “I want to send a parcel”. You can look around straight away; before your first send you complete identity verification through Persona — a government photo ID and a biometric selfie match.
How do I sign up as a traveller?
Travellers join by invitation. On the sign up page choose “I want to carry parcels” and enter your code. After that it’s identity verification through Persona, then residency verification for the corridor you’ll fly.
How do I get a traveller invitation?
Two ways. Ask a verified traveller you know — once someone has completed their first delivery, they can invite a few people they know to join as travellers. Or apply directly: the sign up page has a short application asking where you fly and a little about you. If your corridor is live and your travel fits, we’ll send you a code ourselves.
Why is signing up different for senders and travellers?
Because the trust risk isn’t symmetrical, and we’d rather say so than pretend one gate covers everyone. A sender is the party being protected — by escrow, by verified travellers, by flight checks and handover proof. A traveller is the person all of those protections are built around: they hold someone else’s belongings and someone else’s money is riding on them. So we vet that side harder, and an invitation is the first filter, before ID and residency checks.
Can I switch from sender to traveller later?
Yes, and plenty of people do — the same trip that brings you home can carry something for someone else. Moving to the traveller side needs an invitation, the same as joining that way in the first place. Your sending history helps: it’s part of what we look at on an application.
What does verification require?
Government photo ID, a selfie with a liveness check, and proof of address. Travellers also complete residency verification for their corridor.
Where does earnvoy operate?
In Canada, Nigeria and the United Kingdom. Where you live decides which Earnvoy company you contract with: Earnvoy Inc. in Canada, Earnvoy Limited in Nigeria, and Earnvoy Limited in the United Kingdom. Where you live doesn’t limit the routes you can use — you can send or carry on any route we serve.
For travelers
Listing trips, accepting requests, getting paid.
How do I list a trip?
Tap "List a trip" on your dashboard. Enter from / to / date / weight / minimum earn. Listing takes about 12 seconds.
How are quotes set?
You set them. earnvoy shows a community range for the route + item type as a benchmark.
What if my flight is delayed or cancelled?
Tap "delay / cancel" in the trip view. Sender is notified, escrow holds, no penalty.
How quickly do I get paid?
Wallet credit is recorded on delivery confirmation. Bank payout timing depends on the destination bank and payment-processor settlement schedule (our payment processing partners at launch, NGN-denominated). Specific timing is shown in the wallet at the time of payout request.
For senders
Posting requests and choosing travelers.
How do I post a request?
Add a photo, declare value, set pickup/drop-off, add the recipient.
How do I pick a traveler?
You see qualifying travelers, sorted by tier, ETA, and price. Each profile is ID-verified.
Can I send to someone who isn't on Earnvoy?
Yes. Recipients don't need an account. They receive an SMS with a delivery code.
Money & payouts
How escrow, fees, and settlement work.
How does escrow work?
Sender funds escrow at match-lock. They're held under licensed banking partnership — never by earnvoy, and never by the traveller. Our payment processing partners move the money; they don't hold it. Released only when the recipient confirms with their delivery code or after the auto-release window.
What's the fee structure?
Earnvoy charges 14% of the transaction value, deducted from the sender's payment before conversion. Travellers are charged no platform fee. We also absorb bank payout costs on virtually every transaction; in rare cross-border cases where the payout costs more than CA$2, the excess passes through and is disclosed at match acceptance. Minimum transaction is CA$50 for Canada → Nigeria and ₦25,000 domestically. Full breakdown →
Which currencies do you support?
Canadian dollars and Nigerian naira, matching the live corridors. Conversions use the mid-market rate plus a published spread, shown to you before you confirm payment. Additional currencies activate as new corridors open.
Trust & safety
Who's on earnvoy and what they can carry.
How do you verify identity?
Government photo ID, biometric face match with liveness, and proof of address. Detailed protocol →
What can't be sent on Earnvoy?
Controlled substances, weapons, currency above the threshold listed in terms §04, live animals, hazardous materials, and items the sender knows or should know are illegal at origin or destination. Full list →
Is my parcel insured?
earnvoy does not currently underwrite an insurance product. What every delivery does carry is a documented evidence trail — photo evidence with GPS metadata at pickup and handover, a geolocation-verified handover code, and a complete audit record. Disputes are adjudicated by a person against that record, and escrowed funds are not released while a dispute is open.
Disputes
When something goes wrong.
How do I raise a concern?
One tap from the trip view. Pick a reason and add evidence. Escrow freezes, both sides see "under review."
Who reviews disputes?
The founders, manually, on a best-effort basis at launch. Not automated.
Can I appeal a resolution?
Yes. The appeal window and process are documented in member-facing dispute communications and in terms §06.
Account
Profile, notifications, and leaving.
How do I edit my profile?
Settings → Profile. ID-verified fields require re-verification to change.
How is my data protected?
Identity documents go to our verification partner, not to earnvoy — we receive a verdict and masked identifiers. Recipient phone and address are held in a separately-keyed envelope and decrypted only at delivery. Production access is logged and MFA-gated. Full detail is in the privacy notice.
How do I contact support?
Email hello@earnvoy.com. One inbox, read by a founder. Include a member ID, delivery reference or corridor if you have one — specificity speeds things up.
How do I delete my account?
Email hello@earnvoy.com. Open trips must clear or be cancelled first. Wallet pays out to the registered bank account; data deletion follows the schedule documented in the privacy notice.
Can I pause my account?
Yes. Listings hide, reputation preserved, resume anytime.
